Cybercriminals frequently target managers with whaling attacks (executive-level phishing) because of their access to sensitive financial systems and decision-making authority. Managers are also responsible for approving or authorizing transactions, which makes them prime targets for fraud. Case studies, including the Levino phishing attack and global incidents like CEO fraud scams, will be presented to demonstrate how attackers exploit managerial authority.
